I am a Former Admissions Officer for the University of Virginia’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Building a diverse entering class was the focus of my recruitment efforts for UVA. I read thousands of applications and worked with hundreds of families as they navigated the college admissions process.
Frequently, I presented workshops for students, parents and College Access Organizations on such topics as building strong high school curriculums, finding the right college fit, strategizing for a successful search and telling a story through admission materials. I very much enjoy coaching and motivating and have served as a teacher in a range of fields including English, Spanish, Leadership Development and Yoga. Having lived in China, Germany, Colombia and the US, I have developed a strong passion for diverse cultures, which has led me to travel extensively throughout the globe.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing the guitar and traveling to interesting places.
