I am a former Assistant Director of Admissions at my alma mater, Dartmouth College, where I read over 1,000 applications per year, coordinated our admitted student days, and served as liaison to first generation students. I also worked for three years as the Director of College Completion for a network of open enrollment, public high schools in New Orleans, where I developed an alumni support program for our graduates. Currently I am doing a PhD in History at Stanford University.
I have always loved working with young people set on accomplishing their goals. When I was at Dartmouth Undergraduate Admissions, I co-taught a college admissions preparation course for rising high school seniors through the Summer Enrichment at Dartmouth Program. I have also taught SAT prep courses through the Let’s Get Ready program. I love teaching, and keep a running list of titles for potential courses I want to teach in the future.
In my free time, I like to hike, bike, run long distance races, and play outside as much as possible. I also love to cook for friends – the more complicated and time consuming the recipes, the better.
