I am a former Assistant Director of Admissions at Oberlin College. While there, I had the privilege to evaluate and present 700 applications annually. My favorite aspect of my job, however, was visiting New England, which I did multiple times each year, and working with students at more than 50 high schools. Oberlin was not always the best fit for every student that I met, but when that occurred, I made sure that they left our conversations with a better idea of which colleges to explore.
My approach to college admissions was a bit different because I understood how overwhelming the college search can feel at times. As a high school student, I visited more than 40 colleges before finding Swarthmore College, my alma mater. With a little guidance early on, I could have saved a great deal of time later. Because of this, providing such guidance to others has been a passion of mine since my own college days. While I eventually chose to leave Oberlin College for a successful law school career at the College of William & Mary, my desire to assist others in pursuing their college goals has never left me.
I spend my free time hiking with my beagle and trying out new recipes in the kitchen (a few of which are even successful). I also love planning vacations around baseball stadiums. I look forward to learning more about you and helping you build your own college story.
