I grew up in central Florida, graduating from Flagler Palm Coast High School and leaving to pursue my B.A. and Master of Education in Counseling at the University of Virginia. While I originally planned on becoming a lawyer, my years in college highlighted a passion for education implanted by my extended family, parents, and even my sister.
I’ve made a career out of helping young adults achieve their goals of higher education. While earning my degrees at Virginia, I worked for their Undergraduate Admissions helping to unveil their AccessUVA campaign for low socioeconomic families. Wanting to give snow a try, my professional career led me to Colgate University where I spent two years as the university’s Director of Multicultural Recruitment. Moving further north, I joined the admissions team at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as Senior Assistant Director, working especially closely with students possessing special talents including athletic recruits, academic standouts, and artists.
After years in highly selective college admissions, I was ecstatic to return to Florida with my husband and to continue to work with dynamic students through counseling. I would like to have the opportunity to bring a wealth of knowledge about the world of highly selective admissions, athletic recruitment, special academic programs and artistic portfolios to every professional interaction as well as a warm humor to every personal interaction.
