Director of Marketing - US

Job Overview: The Director of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s marketing strategy in the US. This is an exciting opportunity to craft the strategies that will directly increase revenue and accelerate the growth of our US market. This role will be responsible for developing a paid marketing strategy and optimizing our existing marketing efforts (SEO, webinars, social, etc) with a focus on lead generation. 


The Director of Marketing will report directly to the COO and will manage the Assistant Director of Marketing, Social Media Manager, Content Creator, and Graphic Designer. This person will work closely with the Managing Director in the US as well as colleagues on the Sales team to align marketing efforts with pipeline and revenue performance. This role will also work closely with colleagues in the Education department to understand key demographics and launch new services/products. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for providing summaries and recommendations to company leadership. 




  • Create and manage paid ad strategy from scratch, with a focus on Google Ads
  • Oversee marketing budget 
  • Develop and report marketing KPIs
  • Manage existing marketing team
  • Test and refine key messaging across website and social media
  • Work with education team to survey and analyze data on existing students and alumni 
  • Work with marketing and sales teams to develop buyer personas 
  • Conduct market research to identify key locations/channels to focus on
  • Review and refine current SEO/content marketing practices
  • Review and refine current HubSpot practices
  • Identify and plan potential co-branding/sponsorship opportunities 
  • Identify and plan more targeted marketing opportunities 
  • Collaborate with MD/sales teams to review pipeline and sales challenges
  • Collaborate with education team to help launch and brand new services


Minimum Qualifications


  • Deep understanding of direct channel education space, with particular emphasis on performance marketing and optimization

  • Ability to synthesize insights and recommendations for optimization of performance across a broad range of quantitative and qualitative sources
  • Experience with CRM system, preferably HubSpot
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with collaborating closely with sales teams
  • Ability to educate, motivate and lead direct reports, peers, and team members
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects based on priorities and deadlines
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills that enable translating complex data into productive discussions and effective presentations
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and curiosity to want to know how things work
  • Eager to work in a collaborative and results-oriented team environment
  • Ability to travel and work in the United States


Preferred Qualifications:


  • 5-10 years of marketing experience
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Experience optimizing campaigns through A/B and other testing methods, analysis and continuous improvement process
  • Extensive experience with data analytics and analytics software
