Graduate Bilingual Counselor and Case Manager

Location: Beijing/Shenzhen


Job Description: 

The Graduate Bilingual Counselor and Case Manager is for people who have a true passion for education and a deep interest in interacting with, serving, and educating people with diverse cultural backgrounds.  This person will work directly with students, helping them with graduate school applications and profiles; and communicate with families closely. The major qualifications and job responsibilities include the following: 


  • Native fluency in Mandarin
  • Proficient in English writing
  • Must have Graduate education experience in the US and from top 20 universities is preferred
  • Must have some experience in: tutoring, teaching, counseling, or writing instruction
  • Passionate about education and value individualized education . 
  • Have strong communication skills with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Extremely detail oriented, hard-working and diligent
  • Respect deadlines
  • Proactive, trustworthy and have an impeccable work ethic
  • Admissions experience and results at the graduate level are optional, but a big bonus

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Meet remotely or offline with students
  • 1-on-1 counseling with applicants and manage students' progress in different programs related to personal development and graduate school admissions Provide comprehensive support to students as they prepare their applications
  • Edit and enhance the quality of students’ application materials Generate creative and practical professional experience and projects for students personal profiles
  • Collaborate with a team of up to three counselors and a Senior Counselor Mentor to support each student’s progress
  • As a Case Manager, oversee and monitor the entire case with special attention paid to:
    • overall progress of the counseling service
    • quality control on the services delivered by counselors
    • communications among different parties, including students, families, counselors, sales team, etc. 
  • Serve as the case coordinator between family and counselors, keep parents updated about the progress and deliver parent education
  • Build and maintain trustworthy relationships with families and students
  • Help troubleshoot families’ questions and concerns
  • Design curriculum related to academic planning and application
  • Maintain a caseload of up to 15 students as  Bilingual Counselor and 20 students as Case Manager
