Muhammad Iqbal Fadhilah Akbar, known as Adil, is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep. He has a background in research and writing. Adil earned his BS in Media, Culture, and Communication at New York University (NYU).
Adil has experience tutoring students from elementary school to high school. During his time at NYU, Adil served as a counselor for his high school, mentoring students in building their candidate profiles for college applications.
Adil also served as a Media Lab Assistant in the NYU Media, Culture, and Communication department, where he worked as a Teaching Assistant under Professor Jamie Skye Bianco. In this role, he taught students practical digital making skills, including the Adobe suite, and mentored them in courses such as Digital Media Theory & Practice. Adil’s tutoring experience and academic background give him a perspective that focuses on each student’s individual needs.
As a Graduate Coach, Adil has experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and employs a flexible, empathetic, and adaptable mentoring style. His approach involves using tailor-made strategies to highlight each student’s unique qualities and help them present their authentic selves to their chosen schools.
