My college advising experience spans over a decade and includes senior roles in the admissions offices at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Brandeis University. Additionally, I possess experience as a university-level academic advisor, helping students to navigate pre-health career paths such as pre-nursing or pre-medicine. I’ve also served as the Director of Admissions at a private elementary school in the greater Boston area.
My philosophy is to learn as much as I can about my advisee and bring their unique qualifications to light in the university search and application process. My most treasured outcome is to help a student find a great fit academically and socially for their college experience. Given that college selection is likely one of the most important experiences in a student’s life, I take great care in making sure all questions are answered and feedback is considered throughout the steps. I enjoy helping students to craft an exciting application that an admission officer would be thrilled to review.
In my free time I enjoy attending concerts, seeing new art exhibits and traveling with my husband—we are weighing whether to get a dog soon to add to our family. I also love to eat and try new restaurants and will never turn down a Mexican meal!
