Andrew Tye is a Graduate Coach who helps students turn creative visions into actionable plans. He started in the field of college admissions working under the former Dean of Admissions for Cornell University’s College of Arts and Sciences. Since then, he has overseen dozens of applications as Director of College Consulting. His creation of a targeted admissions curriculum led to his students gaining admission to top schools.
In 2021 Andrew was a finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship and graduated from Princeton University with a BA in English. He started his career in NYC where he consulted on special projects with the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the 2022 Whitney Biennial, and the online magazine A Gathering of the Tribes. He started his own creativity consulting business, Andrew Tye Writes, and assisted prominent NYC families on high-touch, high-demand, long-term projects, including a forthcoming novel and a bibliography of a late patriarch.
Outside of admissions, Andrew is a decorated artist in the NYC scene. His original poetry, music, and performances have appeared all over the city, including a snippet from his one-man show MY SON. Andrew’s creative work fuels his admissions clients, because he’s able to provide unique insights on the storytelling process that American universities demand.
