About Anissa Stern

Hello! I completed my Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from Syracuse University. After graduating, I worked for a Defense Contractor for many years in the New England Area. In 2013, I moved to Tampa, Florida where I started my own tutoring business, where my students find me through word of mouth and referrals. When I am not tutoring clients, I am writing math problems for various companies nationwide. I have written questions for the PARCC, major textbook manufacturers, and practice problems for various websites. In addition, I have written assessments for various companies, as well as practice problems sets for various websites as well as practice SAT and ACT math sections.

I love to tutor and love to see my students succeed. One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is when I get a phone call saying that a student’s SAT scores went up or that they overcame their struggles and finally got an A on an exam.

In my free time I love to travel and explore new places with my son. I love to volunteer at my son’s school, helping the teachers any way that I can. I love to read and hang out with friends.
