Hi! I am a Former Admissions Officer with InGenius Prep based in Washington, DC. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science and Spanish from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, where I attended on merit-based scholarship. As an undergraduate student, I worked as a tour guide and volunteered with the admissions office. Upon graduation, I worked for Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD as an Admissions Officer where I did outreach, recruitment, travel, and evaluation & selection for incoming first-year and transfer students. During my time at Hopkins, I reviewed applications for highly competitive academic programs, transfer students, international students, and dual-degree students. Additionally, I helped with selection, organization, and execution of some of our highly selective fly-in programs. I also worked with our student volunteers, who served as a fond reminder of my own time as a tour guide!
As a first-generation college student, I am passionate about higher education. I enjoy working to help students and their families demystify the college application process. I believe that the right tools, proper preparation, and attention to detail can help students stand out in today’s applicant pools. Applying to college can be stressful, and my goal is to provide support and share my professional knowledge in order to help you reach your own goals.
Outside of work I enjoy reading and trying new recipes. On weekends you can find me running one of the many trails surrounding the DC area!
