Hi! I am a Graduate Coach and InGenius Prep and currently a 4th year medical student, based in Durham, NC where I am pursuing my doctorate of medicine at Duke University School of Medicine.
I grew up in San Jose, California and received my undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College in neuroscience while playing on the D1 Men’s Rugby team. Upon graduation, I worked at 3 different start-ups in SMB software sales between Silicon Valley and Boston, got a Masters degree in Biomedical Sciences at Tufts University in Boston, and co-founded a 501c3 non-profit organization that helped pre-med students prepare for the MCAT and matriculate to medical school. I also worked in sales consulting part-time in medical school. My experiences in the corporate environment have allowed me to broaden my perspective and learn how to better connect with people.
Since then, I worked for the last 4 years working towards my dream of becoming an orthopedic surgeon. I also dream of helping others aspire to achieve their post-grad goals, and have mentored several students of varying backgrounds as they navigated the college admissions, medical school admissions, and corporate job interview processes. I enjoy the challenge of empowering students to find their voice through writing and constructing a holistic, robust application/resume.
Outside of school and work, I am an avid traveler, love to hoop & socialize, and experience new foods and cultures. I look forward to working together towards greater and greater success.
