Christopher Olmedo is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep based in New York. Chris earned his BS in Computer Engineering with a minor in Integrated Digital Media at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. At NYU, Chris was part of the International Filipino Association (IFA) and Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE) chapters. He is studying to earn his CompTIA Security+ Certification.
During his time at NYU, Chris was a Teaching Assistant for 3 years for the General Engineering course, a first year course that teaches students some of the technical and professional skills needed for the engineering field. Chris was the Head of Grading in his final year with the course, working closely with professors and other TA’s to better the learning experience for students. Because of his educational and professional experiences, Chris is also able to provide a unique insight into self presentation, profile building, project management, and other soft skills. Chris’s counseling experience has been marked by a desire to positively influence his student’s paths.
As a Graduate Coach at InGenius Prep, Chris aims to help inspire and guide the next generation of university students to find their passions. He believes in pushing for personal growth and finding creative ways for a student to blossom into the person they want to be. Coupled with strong feedback and editing skills, his experience as a counselor and as a TA helps him instill good time management skills, a solid academic and goal-oriented mindset, and efficient work habits into his students that will work even when they move on to college.
