Ellen O’Leary is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep with a diverse academic background and a passion for higher education. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a BA from Harvard University (cum laude in English), and is currently pursuing a DPhil at the University of Oxford. Her studies have taken her around the world, from India to Argentina to Ireland and beyond.
She has taught college English courses at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and is currently a Tutor and Teaching Associate at Oxford. She has a background in entertainment and journalism, having worked in both industries before returning to postgraduate study. She is passionate about higher education for the sake of personal growth and intellectual satisfaction.
She takes pride in helping students to find their voices, whether they love to write or struggle to express themselves on the page. During her many years of working with students on their college applications, she has helped students from varied backgrounds to achieve their goal of being accepted into top universities. As a Graduate Coach, Ellen takes a tailored approach to working with every student she encounters. She enjoys meeting students where they are at and works to develop a positive, productive rapport with each of them.
