Emily Keffer is a Graduate Coach at InGenius Prep, based in Chicago. As an education professional, Emily brings over 11 years of experience as a mathematics teacher and a honed ability to guide students through their academic journeys. Emily holds a dual MS degree in mathematics and curriculum & instruction from Emporia State University and a BS in secondary education from Northwestern University. She now brings her vast experience as an educator to her role as a graduate coach with InGenius Prep, guiding students through their journeys into higher education.
During her career as an educator teaching geometry, pre-calculus, statistics, and mathematics, Emily also served as a department chair and cheerleading coach. She has worked closely with groups of students from their freshman to senior year and created, edited, and followed through on four-year plans that prepared each student for their college applications. Her roles in academics, athletics, and application counseling have given her unique insights into the diverse strengths of each student and experience on how to help students achieve their goals.
As a Graduate Coach at InGenius Prep, Emily is committed to inspiring and guiding students as they navigate the college admissions process, helping them to not only excel academically but also to build confidence and resilience in their pursuits. She leverages her extensive teaching background and leadership experience to provide tailored advice, fostering each student’s academic and personal development.
