Hello! I am a Graduate Coach at InGenius Prep and an MD candidate at Queen’s School of Medicine in Canada. I have an MSc and an Honours BSc (High Distinction) from the University of Toronto, with a background in Neuroscience. Outside of studies, I have had four years of experience as an editor of Global Brief, a top-tier international affairs magazine. This experience taught me how to present complex ideas through meticulous editing in the most professional possible manner.
Moreover, I have been working part-time as a public speaking, debating, and writing instructor to students of various backgrounds for the past six years. This experience has enabled me to identify the strengths and weaknesses of my students and tailor a personalized strategy to improve their skills. I really enjoy helping students maximize their potential in an environment that is most conducive to their learning. I have also informally supported several peers with their medical school applications, and was pleased to be partaking in securing their acceptance to many schools across Canada and the United States.
Outside of work, I love playing chess and soccer, watching shows/movies, and spending time with friends exploring all the great city of Kingston has to offer. I consider myself abstract-minded and therefore involve myself with any activity that requires thinking and problem solving. Lastly, I am a mentor at Altitude Healthcare, a program at Queen’s University that aims at guiding undergraduate students with low socioeconomic backgrounds explore healthcare-related careers.
