Hello! I am a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep, based in Spain, where I am spending a semester abroad at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
I am from Shandong, China, and recently graduated from Johns Hopkins University with 4 majors (Public Health Studies, History of Science & Technology, Natural Sciences, and East Asian Studies) on a pre-med track. At Hopkins, I was an active student leader at various campus organizations and an undergraduate researcher. I served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Epidemic Proportions Undergraduate Public Health Journal and the Conference Co-Chair of the Public Health Student Forum. With the aid of several competitive grants, I conducted research at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and co-authored a book chapter on the history of global health governance in light of COVID-19, which will be published in the Oxford Handbook of International Institutions.
I have studied abroad in 7 different countries during my undergraduate years. Most recently, I studied at University of Oxford as part of the Pre-Medical Program for Visiting Students. I am interested in global humanitarian medicine, and have interned with high-profile NGOs such as PATH, Project C.U.R.E., and Global Liver Institute. I have also served as the National Academic Mentor at International Brain Bee, where I advised Chinese students on academic preparation and application strategies. I have also informally mentored several students, who have been accepted to Columbia University, University of Chicago, and Johns Hopkins University. Informed by these experiences, I enjoy working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds, academic interests, and professional aspirations to help them build a holistic persona.
Outside of school and work, I spend my free time traveling, hiking, drawing, learning new languages, and going on spontaneous photoshoots with my camera. I look forward to working with you to present the best version of yourself through crafted essays and activity lists!
