Katie McCulloch is a Former Admissions Officer at InGenius Prep. She graduated from Princeton University with a BA in Art and Archaeology and went on to obtain master’s degrees in Middle Eastern Studies from Columbia University and Special Education from St. John’s University. Her extensive career in education spans almost 20 years, during which she has served as a tutor, teacher, and advisor to high school and college students in New York City, Oakland, and Abu Dhabi.
In her various roles, Katie has supported students from around the world with all aspects of the college application process and has gained extensive experience working with multilingual students and students with disabilities. Most recently, she served as an Assistant Director at the Disability Resources Office at SUNY Cortland, where she engaged in an interactive process with students to evaluate requests for accommodations and collaborated with faculty and campus tutoring services to support student success.
Katie is passionate about helping young people reflect on their strengths and goals as they navigate important educational decisions. With a strong basis in youth development, she enjoys serving as a mentor to students as she works with them on all aspects of the college application process. She is committed to access to higher education and helping students find their best-fit schools, believing that thoughtful planning and preparation can lead all students to personal and professional success.
