Lauren Wilson is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep who is based in Chicago, IL. Lauren grew up in Metro Detroit, MI, before attending a college prep boarding school in New Hampshire for grades 10-12. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Brown University, where she studied History and East Asian Studies. Her studies and extracurriculars have taken her to Japan, the United Kingdom, Vietnam, Latvia, and more. Lauren has taken her passion for global learning to Northwestern University, where she has worked as a program coordinator for global programming at the graduate level.
In her day-to-day work, Lauren has often served as the primary point of contact between administration and students for the various programs she facilitates. She has become skilled at learning design, workshop facilitation, and project management. Beyond Northwestern, Lauren has worked with students from many different backgrounds in a variety of settings. Some of her favorite experiences include coaching Japanese high school students how to craft and present speeches in English, and mentoring 11th graders from South Florida on navigating the college process.
Lauren greatly enjoys helping college applicants organize their diverse high school experiences into a compelling narrative that will appeal to top colleges. She loves building great rapport with students, while delivering quality feedback and guidance to help them work towards their admissions goals. At InGenius Prep, she draws from her extensive experience working with students to individualize their processes and guide them towards admissions success.
