Hello! I am a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep, currently based in Santa Cruz, California. I received my BA from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where I double-majored in Art History and English. I then went on to obtain my MA in Art History from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts. I have focused my studies on global art, specifically modern and contemporary arts of Africa, and writing and research have always been a large part of my academic career. In addition to English, I can speak and write in French, which is a great help in a field as internationally-focused as Art History.
Since graduating with my MA, I have worked at history and art museums and I am currently part of the adjunct faculty at the University of Massachusetts Lowell in its Department of Art & Design. I’m drawn to academia because of my love of teaching, a love which flourished during my graduate studies at Tufts. As an Art History instructor, I always endeavor to make sure my students let their ideas and voices shine through their writing, showing off what they’ve learned and showcasing their intelligence and personality. I’m excited to work with you on your journey through higher education!
