Marissa Sims is a Graduate Coach at InGenius Prep and a Master’s student in Biomedical Engineering at Imperial College London, focusing on biomaterials and tissue engineering. She earned her BSE in Biomedical Engineering, with a minor in Chemistry, from Duke University.
Marissa has experience working with students in both academic and advising settings, and has worked as an ACT, SAT, and MCAT tutor, helping students strengthen their test-taking strategies, build confidence, and reach their academic goals. Having navigated highly selective college admissions herself, she understands firsthand how overwhelming the application process can feel.
As a Graduate Coach, Marissa draws on her STEM background and tutoring experience to help students identify the experiences, interests, and qualities that make their applications distinctive. She enjoys getting to know each student individually, helping them put their best foot forward while finding colleges and programs that are the best fit for them.
