Originally from the Washington DC area, I currently reside in Pittsburgh, PA where I have most recently worked at Carnegie Mellon University.
I hold a BA from the College of William & Mary, an MM from Florida State University, and an MPM from Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College. Most recently, I have served as an Associate Director in the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon, previously, serving as the Director of Recruitment & Enrollment (Music) at Carnegie Mellon, Assistant Director of Admissions at University of Puget Sound, Admissions Counselor at Cornish College of the Arts, Admissions Assistant at Florida State University (Music), and Admissions Liaison at the College of William & Mary.
Years of experience in admissions have helped me realize that admission committees are not always looking for what you think they are! It’s not all about grades or test scores but rather a holistic understanding of a student and their institutional fit. My strengths are helping students understand themselves and what they want, separate from what they believe is the best career choice or what someone else may tell them they want. I truly believe there is a school out there for everyone who wishes to attend college.
In my career, I’ve advised thousands of students from varying backgrounds as they have navigated the college admissions process. Each student is unique and I work to support students in identifying their goals and pathways to achieve them.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, kayaking, riding my motorcycle, training for dog sports, and maintaining a creative practice.
