Patrick is a Former Admissions Officer with InGenius prep based in Rochester, NY. Patrick holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Rochester and is currently working towards an MS in Mental Health Counseling from Rochester’s Margaret Warner School of Education and Human Development. At UofR, Patrick was a track and field athlete, school paper editor, and leader of his fraternity. After graduating, he spent several years working in the non-profit sector before returning to his alma mater as an admissions officer.
During Patrick’s 10-year tenure in the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid, he managed their combined BS/MS engineering program, Graduate Engineering at Rochester, as well as Simon Scholars, UofR’s business case study competition. Patrick also served on the selection committee for UofR’s combined BS/MD program and the flagship full-tuition scholarship program. During his final five years, Patrick specialized in shaping and executing UofR’s application review process and helped to oversee the review of 20,000+ applications annually.
Patrick has recruited students and reviewed applications from all 50 states and dozens of countries around the world. Conducting admissions interviews has long been Patrick’s favorite professional responsibility as they allow him to make a genuine personal connection with students and to better understand what is important to them.
At InGenius Prep, Patrick aims to leverage his experience in higher ed, his background in athletics, and a keen awareness of the mental health challenges facing young people to help them navigate the college process.
