I have extensive experience working with students of all ages to achieve their academic, professional and personal goals. My counseling style is to help my students identify those goals and to give them my best advice as to how to realize them.
I earned both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree with honors in Economics with concentrations in Finance and Public Policy from the City College of New York in four years. I was a graduate fellow at Guangzhou University prior to attending Harvard Law School.
I began my professional career as a public defender in Washington, D.C.. I moved with my family to Texas, Ecuador, and then Colorado; I am now based in Seattle, Washington. In each place, I worked and volunteered at various education-related organizations. Most recently, I advised Honors students at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado. I also taught an international business class with an emphasis on the United Arab Emirates and managed a scholarship program. My students have successfully applied to various graduate programs and are working across the U.S. and internationally.
I am the proud mother of two children. My son graduated from Harvard College and is a professional jazz musician. My daughter is currently a student at the University of Chicago studying International Relations. When I am not working I enjoy traveling with my husband, cooking and kickboxing.
