Victor Cuicahua is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep based in Alabama. As a professional in education, Victor graduated from Pomona College with a degree in History, earning the John Hayes Beaver History Prize. He further honed his educational expertise with a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education. Victor’s academic background includes graduate-level research at the University of Illinois. Now, Victor uses his insights as an educator to guide students through college applications.
With extensive experience in secondary and higher education, Victor has taught, coached, and mentored students from diverse backgrounds at institutions such as Taft School and St. Andrew’s School. As a history instructor and dormitory head, he fostered collaborative, student-centered learning environments that enhanced critical reading, writing, and rhetorical skills. During these years, he guided numerous students through the college admission process with a particular focus on the drafting, writing, and revising of personal statements. Victor has even guided one student in publishing a research paper in the Concord Review, the most prestigious journal for high school students in the social sciences.
As an educator, Victor focuses on supporting students of all backgrounds in navigating the different stages of the college admissions process. Drawing from his experience with the undergraduate admissions process, Victor collaborates with students to identify their unique goals, develop personalized strategies, and provide ongoing support to address each student’s needs. With his guidance, students will develop their personal stories and position themselves to succeed in an increasingly competitive admissions landscape.
