I earned my Bachelor’s in English at Barnard College, where I also worked at the Writing Center, helping students across many disciplines to strengthen their writing. Now a PhD candidate in Comparative Literature at Yale, I work with literature in English, German, French, Spanish, Hebrew, and Yiddish. As a Fellow at Yale, I have taught English literature and writing-intensive courses on a variety of subjects, including first-year writing seminars designed to help students gain experience in college-level writing. These courses range in disciplines from Victorian era novels all the way to science fiction.
Born and raised in New York City, I grew up surrounded by a rich array of resources, experiences, and cultures to feed my curiosity and love of learning. Between graduating from Barnard College and attending Yale, I lived in Berlin for two years. During my time there, I worked as a Service Corps Fellow at Bambinim Familyclub where I communicated in Hebrew, German and English. Through this, I learned that the best way to pick up a new language while still having fun is to work with children and teenagers. Now, as a graduate teacher at Yale, I still love working with students to help sharpen their critical thinking and writing skills.
