With almost ten years of admissions and counseling experience, I am an FAO at InGenius who strongly believes in a holistic education. Born in Hong Kong and having worked in 4 different countries, my international background gives me a unique insight into the needs of international students looking to attend colleges abroad. I received my B.A. from Colby College where I discovered my passion for education and youth development. In 2012, I completed my Ed.M in International Education Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where I focused my teaching for global competence and educational innovation.
As an Admissions Counselor at MIT, I learned not only what it takes to be admitted to a highly selective university, but also how subjective the process can be. As a result, my approach to counseling is student-centered and I believe the application process is a rare opportunity for deep critical reflection and self-discovery. In short, I am focused on delivering a transformative education that develops the skills and self-awareness of every student.
