I am a rising senior at Yale College and prospective medical student. With the aid of several research grants, I have been a researcher at the Yale Stem Cell Center for the past three years and am graduating a semester early with a B.S. in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology. As a tutor I have guided dozens of students through AP and SAT exams, as well as the college admissions process. I have taught everything from honors chemistry to test anxiety management, and I’ve advised students who are in nearly every stage of the high school experience.
As an avid writer of personal essays and fiction, my favorite work has included helping students pick their essay topics and polish the pieces to perfection! Outside of teaching, I spend much of my time at the Yale-New Haven Hospital, playing piano in the lobby and working with the Living History Project in the East Pavilion. The rest of my time is spent working with publications: In addition to serving as the Arts Editor of Yale Scientific Magazine and the Creative Director of Accent Magazine, I have worked as a staff illustrator and staff columnist at the Yale Daily News.
