I graduated from the University of Virginia with honors and a degree in Chinese Language and Literature. While at UVA, I worked in the Office of Undergraduate Admission both as an assistant to the Dean of International Students and a University Tour Guide. While at UVA I also taught a university course to help students use comedy as a professional tool in interviews and in life.
After graduation, I volunteered as a teacher for a year in rural Yunnan and then moved to Shanghai to work as an educational consultant for high school and university study abroad applicants. My favorite part of working with students is helping them discover and articulate what they are truly passionate about. My own passions include volunteering with kids, writing about culture, and the intersection of comedy and communication.
In my free time, I travel, update my Weibo, and perform stand-up comedy in both English and Chinese!
