I hold an Accelerated MPH and BA in Sociology from Columbia, where I was admitted early decision for college. I received a full tuition, merit-based scholarship to college and a merit-based scholarship to graduate school. I was an award-winning student leader and founded and led several student organizations and initiatives. This included serving as Founder and President of the Africa-Diaspora Literary Society, which hosted renowned writers, including winners of the Pulitzer Prize and Guggenheim Award. I studied abroad in Senegal in a French and Wolof language international development program. I was honored at the White House as a Caribbean American 30 Under 30 and am an Obama Administration White House Intern Alumnus.
Since being admitted to my dream college, I have enjoyed helping applicants apply to their dream colleges and graduate schools. I have been lauded for my ability to craft compelling personal essays. I have also enjoyed working with students to polish their writing skills as a tutor for several years.
In my free time, I love writing quirky narratives, cooking Jamaican dishes, frequenting musical events, and traveling. I am a Literacy Ambassador for the Read Across Jamaica Foundation, which promotes literacy and education for Jamaican and American children.
