Hi! I have a Ph.D. in Cognition and Emotion and a Masters of Education degree from Columbia University. I also have a Bachelors Degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where I majored in Cognitive Science and minored in English.
I have a passion for learning and teaching, so much so that I created and instruct a class on Cognition and Social Emotional Learning at Columbia. In this class, and in my research, I delve into the ways in which a scientifically-backed curriculum of the mind and our emotions can be implemented into our k-12 learning environments. I’ve also written, acted, and improvised in several professional comedic theater productions in NYC.
My passions and hobbies include writing poetry, making Spotify playlists, doing yoga, dance parties, improv and other forms of comedic acting, photography, traveling, philosophizing, LAUGHING, and helping others (YOU) find the beautiful and unique bits of poetry that exist within your own lives.
