I am an academic merit fellow, currently pursuing my Ph.D. in American Studies at the University of Southern California. Prior to attending USC, I obtained my master’s degree from Columbia University and my bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the University of Pennsylvania.
Throughout my academic tenure, I have held a passion for teaching, writing, and research—serving as a writing tutor for students at UPenn, a college prep advisor for students from Beijing in Los Angeles high schools, and a professor’s assistant in Film, Anthropology, and Communications at USC. In each of these roles I have been dedicated to mentoring students of disparate ages and capacities, so that they might find their writing voice, cultivate their strengths, and realize their academic dreams!
In addition to my love for academic mentorship, I spend my free time singing jazz professionally, practicing yoga, trying new cuisine, and traveling around the world. I also enjoy hanging out with friends and watching TV!
