After majoring in Management Science and minoring in Brain and Cognitive Science at MIT, I worked in consulting for two years before attending the Global MBA program at Seoul National University in order to pursue a career in Marketing. While there, I fell in love with the subject of Consumer Behavior and decided to apply to PhD programs in the United States and Europe to understand human behavior and decision making. While at London Business School for my PhD where my research focused on Education and Entitlement, I yearned for more practical experience actually helping students find their passions instead of just researching it on a theoretical level.
So, after receiving my masters, I decided to return to Korea where there are many students who are smart and driven and could do really well with just a nudge in the right direction to find their passions and the right colleges and/or graduate programs for their future. I really enjoy getting to know the students and finding out how to bring their best foot forward and find the ‘right’ fit for them. In my spare time, I also love traveling and learning new languages and cultures.
