I am a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s College of Arts and Sciences, with a BA in German Studies and a minor in Chinese. I graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa society for original thesis work and outstanding academic performance. My senior thesis, titled ‘Der Verkauf einer Tradition: deutsches Bier im Ausland’ (The Sale of Tradition: German Beer Abroad), explored the viability of German beer as a luxury consumer good in the Chinese market.
I have experience tutoring in foreign languages back in the US, mainly Japanese and Chinese. Helping foreign students come to the US is a key interest of mine, as I believe everyone should take the opportunity to study abroad.
I am passionate about foreign language study, food, and travel. In my free time I enjoy skateboarding and reading German literature.
