Hello! I am a Medical School Former Admissions Officer with InGenius Prep. I have more than thirty years of significant experience in the practice of medicine, education, and the business of healthcare. My most recent position was as Professor of Orthopedics and of The Dartmouth Institute at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth.
I have also served as a Senior Lecturer at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth where I taught a course I co- developed, “Investing and Deal Making in Healthcare”, as well as Entrepreneurship. Additionally, I was the Associate Director of the MD-MBA program at Dartmouth. I was the Professor of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at Vanderbilt University and the Medical Director and member of the Governing Board of Vanderbilt University’s Rehabilitation Hospital.
I was the Endowed Professor and Chairman of Orthopedics and Chief of Staff at the Mount Sinai Group in New York and was vice-president of a five hundred physician practice group that had revenues of $100 million. I have served as the Executive Vice President and Board Member of Active Implants Corporation, an innovative Orthopedic implant company and also as Senior Vice President (Clinical and Business Development) of Priority Healthcare Corporation, a publicly traded company (NASDAQ: PHCC). I’ve been a principal, advisor and consultant to different aspects of the healthcare industry and also to the financial industry, including venture capital and private equity.
I invented a medical device that eliminated the need for amputation in most children with bone cancer. I received his Orthopedic training at the Hospital for Special Surgery and was a fellow in Surgery at Memorial Hospital-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. I received a B.A. degree from Tufts University, a M.D. degree from Cornell University and an M.B.A. degree with honors from Vanderbilt University.
