Russ Adzedu is a Graduate Coach who is a passionate educator, researcher, and disability advocate with a global perspective shaped by lived experiences across three continents. He is currently based in Doha, Qatar. He is a graduate of Georgetown University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service (BSFS) degree in Culture & Politics with a certificate in Media and Politics and a minor in Africana Studies. During his time at Georgetown, Russ actively engaged in various programs and initiatives, demonstrating his commitment to education and social justice.
His teaching and mentorship experience span multiple organizations, including the Future of Africa (FOA), the Honor Council’s Sanction Reduction Program, the Hoya Empowerment Learning Program, and the Afghan Education Student Outreach Project. These roles have deepened his engagement with the college admissions process, particularly in supporting underserved students. As a coach, Russ looks beyond the obvious in application materials to identify opportunities where students can transform challenges into compelling narratives. This approach is rooted in his belief that every story holds power when told with clarity and confidence.
Driven by his commitment to disability justice and intersectional access, Russ is dedicated to making education more inclusive and empowering. His ultimate goal is to become an academic specializing in assistive technology development and to help establish disability cultural centers around the world. At InGenius Prep, he leverages his interdisciplinary background, global perspective, and deep passion for equity to guide students as they navigate their educational journeys and unlock their full potential.
