Wil Prall is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep based in Pennsylvania. Wil is pursuing his PhD at The University of Pennsylvania in the Department of Biology and Universite Paris-Saclay, Institute Des Sciences Des Plantes, Paris France. Prior to his PhD, Wil earned a BS in Biology from The College of New Jersey, where he worked on researching flowering plants as well as published his undergraduate thesis work through a distinguished lab.
Following his studies, Wil worked as a laboratory manager at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine in the Department of Cancer Biology. There, he worked on fundamental cell biology contributing to neurodegenerative diseases, developing cellular mechanisms for potential therapeutic intervention, and contributing to multiple publications. At UPenn, Will serves in the Department of Biology as a PhD student. During his PhD, he obtained The Chateaubriand Fellowship to work in different world-renowned labs at the Insitute Des Sciences Des Plantes, Paris-Saclay in France. In the years following, Wil obtained a Fulbright Fellowship to return to Paris and extend his studies.
Adjacent to his research experiences, Wil was the co-developer of an undergraduate fellowship program, aimed at advising, supporting, and aiding students in the Biological Sciences at The University of Pennsylvania. He holds certificates in teaching, and has worked as a Teaching Assistant, teacher, and developed courses across topics of biology including molecular biology, genetics and genomics, and biology and society.
Wil is deeply passionate about scientific communication, education equity, and mentoring and advising students. His proven experience working with candidates applying to top-ranked universities includes work with a wide variety of students, and a particular interest in STEM-focused applicants interested in research. At InGenius Prep, Wil focuses on guiding his students to achieve their academic goals by providing hands-on support and thorough application feedback.
