MA, International and Comparative Education, Columbia University Teachers College

BS, Communication, Cornell University

Hello! My name’s Elizabeth and I’m a Graduate Coachwith InGenius Prep! I’m currently located in Manhattan, New York City while I finish up my Master’s degree in International and Comparative Education at Columbia Teachers College. Prior to enrolling in my Master’s, I studied Communications with a concentration in Communication in the Environment, Science and Health at Cornell University, minoring in diverse disciplines such as Biological Sciences and Education. I was also involved in several nonprofit and volunteer organizations during my time on campus.

After graduating from Cornell, I decided that I wanted to put my Korean language skills to the test, so I moved to South Korea for two years. There, I taught adults and children English and took Korean language classes. I then decided to come back to the US to attend Columbia University Teachers College and study in the International and Transcultural Studies Department. During my time here at TC, I’ve worked with students from all age groups and all nationalities as a local adult ESL instructor and a remote EFL tutor. I’ve enjoyed getting more involved with the community at large by volunteering with refugees and asylum-seekers, and representing my department as a Student Senator.

I’m passionate about helping others express themselves naturally and persuasively and gaining the confidence to tell their story. I have helped many people around me put their best foot forward in competitive application processes and look forward to continuing this with InGenius Prep applicants! I believe that everyone has a beautiful story to tell and I love to help people find the words that will make their story come to life.

In my free time, my favorite hobbies are exploring the foodie scene of New York City with friends, studying various languages, walking, running, hiking, dogspotting, and reading, behavioral economics and psychology being my favorite subjects.

I’m looking forward to working with you!
