From there, you will work 2-on-1 directly with your team through video chat, email, text, and The Genie. I really want to acknowledge the role InGenius played in my application process, and their support in all aspects helped me get the admission result I wanted in the end. What sets InGenius apart from other companies that I’ve talked to is that they teach students to be more autonomous and proactive, so as long as you work hard with your counselors, your counselors will also be very cooperative with you, so that your applications will reflect your true strength and level more accurately and leave a deeper impression on the admissions officers. Instead of doing all the work for me, InGenius counselors guided me to clarify my thinking, and helped me see some things that I might have missed at the beginning.
I think the greatest help I received from InGenius is in two parts. The first is the very professional counseling. No matter what kind of majors or programs you want to apply to, InGenius can match you with a counselor who has relevant experience, providing you with first-hand knowledge of the field and industry, which I think is especially important for resume and essay writing. The second is application timeline planning. Because the application season begins in the senior year of college, for most people, it’s very difficult to balance their time between in-school study and graduate school application. InGenius counselors can help you plan your application reasonably, and help you clarify what you should do every week, so that you will not miss any deadlines, and you will not be overwhelmed or fall behind in class.
I had two disadvantages in my application: my standardized test scores were not very good, and my mind was preoccupied due to the stress caused by COVID-19. InGenius counselors advised me not to submit my standardized test scores and to focus on my essays and other materials. I think I’ve learned a lot from the application process. The most valuable thing that InGenius has provided me with is a overall control of the application process, including detailed planning and tips on the application. I also improved my writing skills a lot. I didn’t know where to start at the beginning, but my counselors helped me to transform my ideas into essays, and also edited and improved my writing.
