Lillian Foote

Hello! I am a Graduate Coach at InGenius Prep based in Washington, D.C. Currently, I am a Clinical Psychology PhD student at Catholic University studying Family Relationships and Mindfulness. Prior to graduate school, I attended Yale University, where I received a Bachelors in East Asian Studies, before spending three years conducting psychology research at NYU and Columbia University Medical Center. While at Yale, I served as a writer and editor of China Hands, Yale’s student-run publication on US-China relations.

As someone with strengths in both scientific and creative writing, my expertise in helping craft compelling stories will be an asset to developing your admissions profile. My experiences teaching students of diverse backgrounds (in China as well as in the U.S.) have also made me flexible in adjusting my coaching style to fit individuals’ unique interests and needs. Lastly, my identity as a half-Chinese half-White woman, as well as my extensive exposure to Chinese culture, equips me to work well with international students and families.

The admissions process is not easy, but I am excited to develop a positive, supportive working relationship with you. Let’s chat, learn more about your interests and strengths, and start taking strategic steps to achieve your higher education goals!
