Jeffrey Wexler is a Former Admissions Officer with InGenius Prep based in Florida. As an educational professional with years of experience reading and evaluating student applications, Jeff brings a wealth of expertise from his extensive education and college counseling career. Jeff earned his MSEd in Reading/Writing/Literacy from the University of Pennsylvania and holds a Bachelor’s in Secondary Education from Millersville University. Having a passion for travel and helping others, Jeff completed two years of teaching English abroad in Japan as part of the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program. Now, he brings his insights and experiences to his role in helping students in their college admissions.
With over 17 years of experience working with high school-aged students as a classroom instructor and college counselor, Jeff is familiar with every aspect of a student’s development. His career path led Jeff to work with UC Berkeley as an external application reader. There, he read over 2,000 applications for UC Berkeley’s undergraduate admissions, specializing in international applications from over a dozen countries. His time evaluating applications has given Jeff insight into what exactly admissions officers look for in students and how to help students craft stand-out applications for college.
As a career educator, Jeff is passionate about working with students and guiding them through their college search. He loves to help students find their best-fit schools and help them express their uniqueness in each application. With his extensive experience and dedication to helping students achieve their full potential, Jeff looks forward to each new mentorship and helping students realize their academic dreams.
