When it’s time to apply, you are only as good as your application. You have probably heard about students with perfect GPAs and top test scores who didn’t get in anywhere. When constructing your applications, they must be personal. They must demonstrate the way you think, the values you embody, and the goals you cherish. Through your essays and application materials, the admissions officers must learn about who you really are—your thoughtfulness, your experience, your insight, and your individuality.
Your work needs to support your Application Persona, which is the cohesive narrative or “theme” that drives all aspects of the application. Your Application Persona serves as a monument to your passions and achievements, leadership and excellence, personality and goals. If the admissions office is going to remember you, they are going to remember you for the way you told your story in your application. Think about how you want to be remembered—with what story, for what qualities, with what turns of phrase—and make sure your applications are written in just that way.
Every application must be built with your specific audience in mind: the admissions officers at each particular school to which you are applying. When writing your essays, you must thoughtfully consider unique features of the school—its culture, its student body, its curriculum, and most importantly, how you might contribute and genuinely impact it.

Our Writing Instructors are Ivy League-caliber academic fellows who teach writing and humanities courses at top U.S. universities. With college-level teaching experience, our Writing Instructors instruct academic writing at the highest level. Through our Academic Writing Seminars, they teach our students the writing skills necessary to succeed in high school and college-level courses.

Our Progress Managers are bilingual educators dedicated to helping InGenius Prep families succeed. Based locally in each office around the world, Progress Managers oversee students’ counseling process, coordinate logistics, and communicate regularly with parents.
Our subject and test prep tutors are professionally trained experts in guiding students to earn competitive grades and scores. With strong educational backgrounds and industry experience, our tutors help students grasp key concepts, strengthen academic weaknesses, and ultimately, improve their GPAs and standardized test scores.
