Inside the 2026 U.S. Fencing Foundation Fête: Funding the Future of the Sport
The Fête is more than just a celebration; it is the financial engine that fuels the future of the sport. The 2026 edition lived up to its reputation, inspiring a room of dedicated advocates to raise vital funds that directly support:
- Elite athletes and leading coaches on their path to high-performance success.
- The development of referees, officials, and Bout Committees alongside the expansion of collegiate and club programs.
- Essential grassroots access programs for families with financial need, ensuring the sport remains open to all talent.
The evening featured a prestigious award ceremony honoring trailblazers across the fencing community, followed by a high-energy live auction. Every moment on the floor reinforced a singular truth: the global standing of U.S. fencing relies entirely on the community that invests in it, both on and off the strip.
Fencing demands a rare combination of mental sharpness, tactical awareness, and resilience. The Fête perfectly captured that distinct spirit, uniting generations of athletes to ensure tomorrow’s fencers have the resources to compete at the highest global levels.
