April Aviles is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep based in Massachusetts. April earned her BS in Nutrition and Health, and Global Health, from Cornell University. She then attended the University of North Carolina, where she received her Master’s of Public Health in Maternal and Child Health, and Health Disparities. Following her MPH, April went on to earn her Doctorate in Education with a focus on Health Education from Columbia University’s Teacher’s College. April has been recognized with several prestigious awards, scholarships, and fellowships during her education and career.
As a Graduate Coach, April is results-driven with a successful track record of guiding students towards their academic goals. Leveraging her 5+ years in higher education mentorship and admissions counseling, April is adept at developing personalized strategies to maximize acceptance rates.
In addition to her years as a college counselor, April has over over 10 years of lived experience navigating elite academic institutions as a first-generation college student, which also informs her expertise in application preparation, essay writing, and interview coaching. Committed to fostering students’ confidence and self-advocacy to realize their academic aspirations, April greatly enjoys working with her students at InGenius Prep.
