Cancer is the second leading cause of death in the global world. According to a CDC report, in 2018, for every 100,000 people in the US, 436 new cancer cases were reported and 149 people died of cancer. This program will help students understand the fundamentals of cancer biology. Students will learn about the basics of cancer initiation, progression, and metastasis. These principles will be taught using a platform of breast cancer. Sessions will consist of interactive lectures that incorporate both classical and new research related to the topic of the week.

The availability of computer power and massive amounts of data has led to the incredible, rapid growth of Machine Learning (ML) or Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a discipline. ML is now being applied to numerous fields. As a consequence, the demand for data scientists (practitioners of ML) is very high, and leading universities have created new Data Science degrees at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In fact, becoming a data scientist is considered one of the most promising career choices (for the present and the future) by many experts. A distinguishing feature of this program is that students will not just learn to use the popular Python libraries to solve Machine Learning problems, they will also learn the Mathematics behind the methods.

Students in this program will have the opportunity to develop special interests, perhaps centered around the instrument of their choice, exploring the nature and properties of sound, and/or how it impacts on human beings. Students will develop their research skills and draw on a variety of sources, both audio and written. There will also be scope for students to apply themselves both creatively and academically.

In this course, we will examine their role in the formation of and relations between states in the past. Studying peacemaking in international relations is equally crucial for understanding our present and preparing for the future. Students are offered a comparative insight into waging war, peacemaking, and international relations. They will be guided through vast literature of this challenging field, and challenged to scrutinize primary and secondary materials related to this topic. Students will examine past conflicts in order to analyze those which currently surround us.

In this program, you will learn to analyze and evaluate the strategies of existing digital media enterprises in news, entertainment, social media, mobile, retail, and other sectors. You will also have the opportunity to assess their impacts on cultural and civic life for better and for worse. While this program is primarily a chance to study and think about existing media, it is also an opportunity to gain skills to develop your own ideas of media innovations. It will explore how emerging technologies will impact not only your own lives, but also the various journalism and communications crafts. It will emphasize the increasing globalization of media and the need for enterprises to serve increasingly diverse audiences.
