This past weekend, more than 2,000 of the nation’s top young scientists gathered at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln for the 41st Annual Science Olympiad National Tournament. With teams from 120 high schools across the country, along with international participants from Japan’s Global Ambassador Team, the event was a celebration of STEM excellence, collaboration, and academic achievement.
As a proud partner of Science Olympiad, InGenius Prep was on-site throughout the tournament to support students and families as they prepare for future college admissions.
Tournament Highlights
The tournament opened on Friday, May 23rd with the Parade of States during the Opening Ceremony. US Olympic Champion and UNL alum Curt Tomasevicz delivered a keynote address, inspiring students as they kicked off two full days of competition.
Throughout the weekend, students competed in a wide range of science and engineering events including anatomy, forensics, bridge building, and flight. The tournament concluded on Saturday, May 24th with the Closing Ceremony, where top teams were recognized with awards, scholarships, and honors for excellence and team spirit.
