Alejandro
Alejandro Diaz is a Graduate Coach with Ingenious Prep and an MIT-trained engineer with three years of experience as an academic consultant. A native English and Spanish speaker also proficient in Portuguese, he brings a global, multidisciplinary perspective to his work with students.
His background spans industry, research, and teaching: internships in wind energy in Brazil and semiconductor testing at Micron, plus graduate research on atmospheric sensors for cube satellites that produced two published IEEE papers. He has taught STEM programs abroad in Peru and Spain, led SAT prep at a New York charter school, and coached college applicants, including admits to MIT and Northeastern, through essays and interviews.
Having navigated his own competitive admissions journey, from earning spots in audition-only MIT ensembles to balancing rigorous coursework with research, Alejandro helps students identify what makes their own journeys distinctive, keeping their genuine passions at the center of the process.
