Alex Sotiropoulos is a Former Admissions Officer with InGenius Prep with a background in both academic evaluation and high-stakes brand strategy. A “triple threat” from the University of Chicago, Alex earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science before obtaining an MBA with Honors from the Booth School of Business. His foundational expertise in admissions was built during six years as the Associate Director of Admissions at UChicago, where he served as a core member of the admissions committee and evaluated thousands of applications for one of the most selective universities in the world.
Beyond the admissions office, Alex transitioned into the corporate sector, leading strategy and marketing for iconic national brands at the Kellogg Company. Most notably, he oversaw the Pop-Tarts Bowl marketing campaign, which earned a Cannes Lions Grand Prix—one of the highest honors in the creative industry. This professional experience has profoundly shaped his approach to the college application process, as he applies world-class storytelling and positioning techniques to help students stand out in a crowded applicant pool.
Alex also brings a unique perspective on NCAA Division III athletic recruiting, having advised athletic programs during his tenure at UChicago. He excels at helping students identify their core strengths and translate them into clear, authentic narratives that resonate with admissions officers.
