Arya Anthony Kamyab is a Speciality Registrar in Clinical Radiology at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He earned his MBBS from St George’s, University of London with distinctions in preclinical and clinical medicine, and holds a first-class intercalated BSc in Medical Sciences from Imperial College London. He completed foundation training in northeast England before securing a Clinical Radiology ST1 post, ranking in the top 1% of applicants nationally.
Alongside clinical practice, Arya has a strong interest in medical education. He has served as a Clinical Teaching Fellow at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, completed a postgraduate certificate in medical education, and delivered 250+ hours of teaching in anatomy and clinical skills to undergraduates. He has also been closely involved in undergraduate medical admissions, both as an applicant and later as an examiner.
That dual perspective, as both a successful applicant and an admissions examiner, gives Arya a distinctive understanding of what selection committees look for in prospective students. He enjoys helping students grow academically and build the skills needed for a career in medicine, and brings that guidance to the students he mentors.
