Calvin Wakeford is a Graduate Coach, Chartered Engineer, and current Engineering Manager at Parker Hannifin’s Gas Separation and Filtration division, where he leads a team of engineers and scientists on new product development and hydrogen treatment technology. He holds both a BA and an MEng in Structural, Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
Over more than a decade in engineering leadership, Calvin has progressed from Project Engineer at Bel Valves, where he helped deliver a £40 million order book, to Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Tharsus, where he built a manufacturing engineering department from the ground up and helped grow annual production revenue from £15 million to £55 million. At Parker Hannifin, his team’s innovation work has helped the company exceed targets for two consecutive years and generate close to $900,000 in annual manufacturing savings.
Having applied engineering across R&D, manufacturing, and product development, as a Graduate Coach Calvin brings a broad, hands-on perspective to helping students identify the engineering disciplines, courses, and universities that best fit their interests.
